The SCDMH Office of Public Information is the principal point of contact for the Agency for:
- News media requests
- Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests
- General information about the Agency, its programs and divisions, history, and activities
- Requests for speakers
- Development of Agency materials, brochures, presentations, and written content
- Historical burial records and grave marker requests
The Division also oversees an array of projects, including, but not limited to, the Art of Recovery program, legislative tracking, and management of SCDMH’s social media presence.

Student Interview Requests: SCDMH understands schools’ and instructors’ desire to encourage students to interview professionals in mental health-related fields. However, SCDMH cannot accommodate such requests.
