SCDMH understands the public’s interest in visiting and photographing its historic properties; however, SCDMH cannot accommodate such requests. In accordance with state and federal laws to ensure the privacy of our patients, audio and visual recording are not allowed on active SCDMH premises.

**The former State Hospital Campus on Bull Street has transferred to private ownership. As such, the SCDMH ended public access and photo releases for the site in 2015.**
